When Adam’s husband (Mark Duplass) gives her a surprise gift of a pack of weekly Spanish lessons, she’s not quite sure how this new element will fit into her structured life. But tragedy strikes and his teacher, Cariño (Natalie Morales), becomes the salvation he didn’t know he needed. Adam develops a totally unexpected emotional bond full of complexities with Cariño, but can you really know a person just by having experienced trauma alongside them?
