At the dawn of World War I, in a village in France, four inseparable friends, Lucas, Luigi, Lucien and Ludwig, form the Lulus gang. When the orphanage where they reside is urgently evacuated, the Lulus are cut off from the rest of their peers. Forgotten behind the enemy front line, they will have to fend for themselves in the midst of the conflict.
They will soon be joined by Lucia, a young girl separated from her parents, with whom they will embark on an adventure to reach Switzerland, the “country never at war”… The five friends will find themselves involved in an adventure for which nothing and no one had prepared them.
