Writer/director/producer Todd Field signs TÁR, starring Cate Blanchett as the innovative conductor of one of Germany’s leading orchestras. We meet Tár at the height of his career, about to publish a book and conduct Mahler’s Fifth Symphony. However, in a totally unexpected way, his life begins to fall apart over the next few weeks. The result is a scathing examination of power, its impact and its endurance in today’s world.
